3 post-summer beauty routines to reset your hair and skin
Summer can leave its mark on our hair and skin… UV rays, salt and chlorine can leave our hair and skin damaged, dry and showing signs of ageing. Check out Bima’s advice, a sales consultant and beauty advisor at Aroma-Zone, for glowing skin and healthy hair! Here are 3 routines to give your body the radiance it deserves. (Gents, they work for you too).
Skincare routine
The skin on your face tends to get dry and tight after a summer of sun exposure. A good routine is essential to restore elasticity and softness.
1 – Start by removing built-up dead skin using a gentle cleansing gel such as the zinc prebiotic or cucumber cleanser. Its 100% natural formula combines organic cucumber and organic inulin to rebalance your skin and leave it feeling softer. Zinc PCA reduces imperfections and blackheads.
2 – Regenerate and purify your skin. Use a wild carrot hydrolate, renowned for revitalising skin and reducing the appearance of sun spots.
3 – Rehydrate and soothe with aloe vera gel. This natural wonder is famous for its healing, moisturising and soothing properties, making it a must for all skin types!
4 – Treat your skin to “long term” hydration. A moisturising cream enriched with aloe vera and pepper mint hydrolate, ingredients renowned for quenching and refreshing your skin, will help shrink your pores and leave your skin feeling deeply moisturised for up to 8 hours.
5 – Last but not least, protect your skin from the sun. Bima recommends the SPF 30 (or 50 depending on your skin type) face and body sunscreen. Its 100% natural mineral filter protects you from UVA and UVB rays.
Bodycare routine
Now your face is glowing, let’s take care of your body.
1 – Exfoliate with a sugar scrub. The 100% natural and organic scrub is packed full of organic sugar to exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin and impurities to leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and silky. It even stops your tan from fading!
2 – Soothe your skin with aloe vera gel. This little wonder isn’t just for your face! Use the same product as your skincare routine and treat your body to the benefits of aloe vera.
3 – Moisturise and nourish your body with plant-based lotion, such as aloe vera enriched with coconut oil, shea and cocoa butter. Its smooth texture is suitable for all skin types and gently absorbs to leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised without feeling greasy.
4 – Don’t forget your hands and feet! Your hands are constantly exposed to external aggressors. We often forget about our feet but summer hits them hard too: dry and cracked skin, especially around your heels. Apply a hyaluronic acid cream with oat oil and organic avocado to give your skin a nourishing, soothing and protective layer that doesn’t feel greasy or sticky. A real treat for your hands and feet!
Haircare routine
Use nourishing and healing products for strong and healthy hair. Bima, a beauty advisor at Aroma-Zone Nice, recommends a blend of phytokeratin and banana powder.
Phytokeratin gives your hair strength, volume and shine with its amino acids, similar to the keratin in your hair and nails.
Banana powder is packed with vitamins and minerals to nourish the easy-to-damage hair fibre. It’s a dream for dry and limp hair as it smoothes, softens and strengthens it.
Bima’s recipe: add 2 tbsp of phytokeratin and banana powder to a bowl with water and stir until it forms a paste. It shoudn’t be too runny or too thick. Add a little aloe vera gel if you like. Apply to hair and leave in for 5-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and enjoy!
Remember that beauty starts on the inside
Drink lots of water and eat food that is rich in vitamins and antioxidants to support skin and hair renewal. A healthy diet helps your skin glow and keep your hair healthy.
You can restore your hair and skin’s radiance with these simple post-summer routines and the right products. What are you waiting for? Try them now and give your body the reset it deserves!
