Sports, festivals, shows, concerts… Nice offers a summer program rich in events. To make sure you don’t miss a thing, we’ve put together a summary of the dates you won’t want to miss. Open your diaries, it’s going to be a show-filled summer!
From 10 July to 26 August: ELLES DE JEUX exhibition at NICETOILE (in partnership with the National Sports Museum)
The exhibition puts the spotlight on women in the world of the Olympic Games, showing the spectacular progress they have made in over 130 years, from the virtual exclusion of women to the fight for equality. On display: iconic outfits, objects and accessories that have contributed to the success of these legendary female athletes, celebrating their achievements and resilience throughout Olympic history.

From 12 July to 30 August: Nice Classic Basilique Festival
Enjoy an unforgettable experience combining the magic of classical music with the splendour of Notre-Dame Basilica. Some of the world’s greatest ensembles will take to the stage for this cultural event that is so emblematic of Nice’s heritage.

From 18 July to 11 August 2024: Nice Classic Festival
Enjoy the best French musicians in a magical venue with unique acoustics: the Monastère de Cimiez, which is exceptionally opening its doors to host this festival. And this year there’s also the chance to sample the region’s culinary specialities and wines.

Saturday 20 July: fireworks and drone show for the arrival of the Tour de France
A major show to welcome the historic arrival of the Tour de France in Nice. Don’t miss this magical show at 9pm on the Quai des Etats-Unis, featuring a DJ set by the world’s most-streamed French duo, Ofenbach – and a drone show and pyrotechnics at 10.30pm where 1,500 drones and an exceptional fireworks display will dazzle the skies over the Baie des Anges!
Sunday 21 July: Grand arrival of the Tour de France 2024 in Nice
This is the sporting event of the year! For the first time in its history, the “grande boucle” will finish on the legendary Promenade des Anglais. An exceptional finale from 1pm to 6pm, not to be missed for anything: it’s sure to be a great party!

Wednesday 24 to Wednesday 31 July: the Olympic Games come to Nice
Football fans? Nice is hosting the qualifying stages of the 2024 Football Olympic Tournament. Six matches are scheduled at the Allianz Riviera stadium, including France. Les Bleus fans, we look forward to seeing you there in large numbers!

From 26 to 28 July: Néon Festival
Martin Solweg, Nervo, Trinix and many other international artists perform in a wild line-up at the Théâtre de Verdure. Light shows, food trucks, face painting and plenty of other entertainment round off the experience. It’s show time!

From 29 to 31 July: Les Plages du rire
This is the biggest comedy event on the Côte d’Azur. Big names like Anne Roumanoff, Les Chevaliers du Fiel, Yves Poujol and Mathieu Madénian, as well as young comedians, will be putting on hilarious shows at the Théâtre de Verdure.

From 20 to 23 August: Nice Jazz Fest!
The world’s oldest jazz festival, founded in Nice in 1948, has changed its name to Nice Jazz Fest! 4 dates, 2 stages, 24 concerts will ignite Nice’s heart with a line-up featuring the greatest international artists. The range of genres covers everything from the best jazz to the most contemporary music: there’s something for everyone!

From 4 to 8 September: Crossover Festival
To round off the summer season in style, enjoy a unique experience combining music, culture and creativity. And for its 15th anniversary, expect a wild programme: 4 days of festivities, 2 venues, 21 artists… An exceptional edition!
