This district extends across a wide area, from the Promenade des Anglais as far as Nice Nord and Boulevard Gambetta up to Boulevard de Cessole. Art Deco and Belle Époque buildings abound. At the heart of the district is the city’s main railway station on Avenue Thiers. This is an area characterized by hectic activity, with a massive range of retail outlets and food shops. Adjoining the Musicians’ Quarter is the district of Thiers, another very vibrant part of the city boasting for the most part restaurants and hotels.
Shopping expeditions in these parts of Nice do take you a little off the beaten track but prepare to be pleasantly surprised by what you find!
