Carnaval de Nice 2026: Long Live the Queen!

The Grand Charivari

From February 11th at 4pm, the Carnaval sets the tone. On Rue Richelmi, in front of the Maison du Carnaval, the celebrations begin naturally as the final moments of preparation for this timeless month are marked. A joyful, open-to-all gathering, driven by a DJ, the distribution of ganses and, above all, spontaneous dancing carried by carnival rhythms. Colours, costumes and smiles all signal that the magic is underway.

To round off this festive moment, keep the party going at Mama Shelter. On the agenda: a DJ set to dance the night away, activities and games for children, all in an electric atmosphere enhanced by breathtaking colourful decorations.

The Carnaval Village

From February 13th to March 1st, every day from 11am to 6pm, the Carnaval Village becomes a true living space. Each day, it welcomes visitors of all ages with original artistic programmes, immersive installations, entertainment and creative workshops, allowing you to leave with a handmade souvenir. It is a place where you can fully embrace the spirit of the Nice Carnaval, between wonder and indulgence, while enjoying local specialities in a warm and friendly atmosphere. To extend the magic, the experience continues into the evening until 10pm on February 19th and 26th, when the village lights up and takes on an even more enchanting dimension.

La Carnavalina

On Saturday February 14th, from 2pm, a very special virus spreads through the heart of Nice. A virus of pure happiness, made of smiles, sweet treats and floral scents. La Carnavalina sets off from Notre-Dame to the Promenade des Anglais, just steps from the Théâtre de Verdure. A festive procession that invites everyone to let go and dive headfirst into the world of the Carnaval.

The Carnival Parades

Impossible to miss the iconic Carnival Parades. Spectacular floats, artistic troupes and ever-present music transform Place Masséna into an open-air stage. At night, on February 17th, 21st, 24th and 28th, illuminations elevate the show right up to the grand finale. By day, on the afternoon of February 22nd, the Carnaval reveals itself from a different yet equally captivating perspective, in the heart of one of Nice’s most emblematic locations.

The Flower Battles

Another unmissable event, deeply rooted in the soul of Nice: the legendary Flower Battles, on February 18th, 21st, 25th and 28th. Floats delicately adorned with thousands of fresh flowers, spectacular costumes and an explosion of Mediterranean colours create a living tableau. From the floats, performers throw stunning flowers to the crowd, extending the magic of this iconic event year after year.
