Square Jean Baptiste Carpeaux

Gairaut Canal

Gairaut Canal is a favourite spot for the locals, especially joggers. Over a distance of almost two kilometres, this path along the canal has been laid out with a fitness trail, offering a unique view of the city and the Colline du Chateau (Castle Hill). Small stone bridges, benches, olive and fig trees punctuate the trail, inviting you to take a well-deserved break after your workout. A stone’s throw from the Canal is the Gairaut waterfall, well worth the trip.

Colline du Château (Castle Hill)

This is the ideal place to enjoy a cardio workout (500-step climb) while doing some street workout. This spot is ideal for those who enjoy exercising in a natural setting. As you climb the stairs to the Parc de la Colline du Château, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the famous Promenade des Anglais and the city’s skyline. Parc du Ray

Parc du Ray covers an area of 3 hectares and offers plenty of opportunities for sports enthusiasts! With 476 trees of 97 different species, it’s a unique natural setting. The Mouchan garden play area offers adventure activities, while a 380 m² area reserved for dogs allows them to stretch their legs. For walkers, a large meadow and a 10-metre-wide central path are reserved for gentler forms of exercise. An interesting fact: part of the south stand of the old stadium has been integrated into the park, adding a touch of Nice history to this green space.

Street Workout Park

In the Libération district, a stone’s throw from rue Vernier, you’ll find a street workout park perfect for all sports fans. This urban space offers three training facilities right in the heart of the city – pull-up bars, parallel bars and an abdominal bench – the winning trio for training outdoors.

Mercantour Sports Complex

The Nice Mercantour Sports Complex offers a wide variety of activities for all ages. With 5 qualified fitness instructors, the complex focuses mainly on fitness, offering cardio and strength training equipment. But children can do sports here too! Promenade des Anglais
